In September 2024, the
Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) will launch a campaign to
promote Vietnamese tourism in Australia. This initiative follows the
successful Vietnam-Australia Travel Symposium held in Melbourne in June 2024, aimed at enhancing bilateral tourism cooperation.

Visa Facilitation: VNAT is advocating for eased visa requirements to boost tourist exchanges between Vietnam and Australia. Currently, Vietnam has an electronic visa program for Australian tourists.
Visitor Growth: In the first five months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed over 213,000 Australian visitors, a 35.4% increase from the previous year, positioning Australia as the 7th largest source market for Vietnamese tourism.
