The "Internationale Tourismus-Börse" - the "Berlin International Tourism Exchange" - is the largest international tourism fair in the world. It was founded in 1966 by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The first edition of the ITB Berlin took place from 10 to 14 March 1966 and welcomed 1,200 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors.
ITB Berlin has grown steadily over the years. By 2024, it is expected to welcome more than 10,000 exhibitors and 250,000 visitors from more than 180 countries.
