After a long time fighting the fourth outbreak of Covid-19, Vietnam is expecting to achieve more positive results in the north. Still, the provinces in the south are likely to be dealing with the new mutated virus for a longer period.

After nearly a month of staying indoors, citizens of the provinces in the north of Vietnam finally received a new announcement. Specifically, Ha Tinh and Hà Giang have put an end to their social distancing restrictions, residences can now continue their casual routines. As for the capital of Hanoi, the restrictions are loosen so that small public services, such as hairdressers or indoor restaurants, can reopen as long as they keep following the safety regulations. It is said that the government was still reconsidering to reopen more services.

On the contrary, Ho Chi Minh City is still suffering from the dangerous threat of Coronavirus. The city has detected several positive cases in the past few days, 5 of which were discovered at the General Hospital of Saigon. Since the situation has gotten worse, the city was ordered to prolong the social distancing restriction from 14 days to 28 days (2 weeks in addition).
